What items am I not allowed to place inside the dumpster?

Hazardous waste, industrial waste, chemical products, herbicides & pesticides, radioactive material, solvents, paint (except completely dried latex paint cans, no liquids), other flammable liquids, aerosol cans, propane tanks, motor oil, transmission oil/lubricating/hydraulic oil/oil filters, contaminated oils (mixed with solvents, gasoline, etc.), antifreeze, petroleum contaminated soil/lead paint chips, tires, batteries, computers, monitors, televisions, microwaves, fluorescent tubes, railroad ties, medical waste, asbestos, animals, barrels and all liquids. Material must be level at the top of the container; nothing can be sticking out of the top.

How can I tell which dumpster size is best for my project?

If you are seeking dumpster services on a temporary basis for a home remodel, clean out, construction project or any other temporary need then a roll off dumpster is the correct choice. If you are a business owner and you seek scheduled weekly services on a permanent ongoing basis then you need to schedule commercial dumpster services.

Next, ensuring that you select the correct dumpster size for your project can save you money and time. A dumpster that is too large will cause you to incur unnecessary expenses while a dumpster that is too small will cost you more by requiring you to schedule additional hauls to remove all of the debris. Please see our dumpster dimensions and sizes to help you select the best dumpster for your needs. Please note that each cubic yard will hold roughly 15 (thirteen gallon) kitchen-sized trash bags or about 6 (thirty gallon) large trash bags. How do I cancel an existing order?

Temporary roll off dumpsters may be canceled by contacting our customer service department at 800-877-4285. Cancellations must take place at least one business day prior to the delivery date. Please note that a cancellation charge of $125 will apply to all cancellations per our terms and conditions.

How do I make changes to an existing order?

If you created an account during the check out process, you can log back in to your account to make any necessary changes. If you did not create an account or you prefer to speak directly to our customer service department, please contact us at 800-877-4285. Changes to an existing order must be made one business day prior to the delivery date.

Will I need a permit to place the dumpster on the street?

Some municipalities do require a permit. Generally speaking the more rural the area the less likely that the local municipality will require you to attain a permit to place a dumpster on a public street. We do recommend that you contact the public works department or the solid waste management office of your municipality for specific requirements for your area.

Will a roll off dumpster damage my driveway or pavement?

A full roll off dumpster can be very heavy depending on its size and the type of materials that are placed inside the container. Thus, we highly recommend that customers take any necessary actions to prevent any potential damage to driveways and pavements by placing a 4’ by 8’ piece of plywood on the driveway where the container is to be placed. The Customer affirms that any right of way provided by customer (disclosed in delivery questions) for the roll off container is sufficient to bear the weight of all contractors’ dumpster equipment and vehicles required to perform the contracted service. The customer assumes all liabilities for damages to private driving surfaces, pavement or road surfaces and entire roll off container placement site. The contractor shall not be responsible for any damages to any private driving surface, pavement or accompanying subsurface of any route associated to perform the service that was contracted.

How do I schedule an extra haul for the dumpster?

Extra hauls for roll off dumpsters can be scheduled either by logging in to your account through our website or by contacting our customer service department at 800-877-4285. An additional haul charge equal to the original charge will apply.

Do I need to be present to accept delivery or removal of the dumpster?

It is recommended that someone be present at the time of delivery but it is not required. If no one will be present we would ask that the customer clearly mark the spot for the dumpster to be dropped off by a distinguishable mark. Please ensure the drop off location is clearly marked to avoid additional expenses for relocating the dumpster. It is neither recommended or required that someone be present during removal of a roll off dumpster. We do ask that access to the dumpster be clearly and easily accessible by a large truck.

What if the driver arrives and I am not ready to accept delivery or removal of my roll off dumpster?

An additional trip charge of $150 will apply. To avoid this additional expense please contact our customer service department one business day in advance to change your delivery or removal time. Please note additional daily rental charges may apply if you keep the dumpster longer than 10 days (7 days in California).

What if I need the roll off dumpster longer than the allotted days or would like it removed sooner?

You may contact our customer service department to keep the dumpster longer. Additional daily rental charges will apply per our terms and conditions for containers kept beyond 10 days (7 days in California).

How many tons may I place inside the roll off dumpster and will there be additional charges for exceeding the allotted tons?

Depending on which size dumpster you select your dumpster will include so many tons of material for disposal. Additional charges per ton will apply per our terms and conditions for any tonnage beyond what is included in your original haul charge. Please note that some heavy materials including but not limited to concrete, dirt, bricks, blocks, etc. can be quite heavy. Overweight roll off dumpsters can cause safety hazards on the road and in cases violate local ordinances. Please note that our drivers reserve the right not to haul a roll off that is severely overweight beyond the legal limits. If you are seeking to dispose of heavy materials such as bricks, blocks, concrete, dirt, etc. we highly recommend that you limit your order to nothing larger than a 15 cubic yard container to avoid additional expenses and safety hazards.

Please feel free to contact our customer service department for questions on weight limits and dumpster sizes. Under no circumstances should any dumpster be filled above the fill line.

What does the quoted roll off dumpster price include?

Your quoted price includes delivery of the dumpster, rental for 10 days (7 days in California), fuel and environmental surcharges, taxes, the allotted tonnage (depending on your dumpster size) and the removal of your container. All waste materials will be disposed of or recycled in a licensed and approved materials recovery facility.

What does the quoted commercial dumpster price include?

The monthly commercial dumpster price includes the desired frequency of service, fuel and environmental fees, taxes, the initial delivery of the container and all disposal costs associated with processing the materials at a licensed and approved materials recovery facility.

What if I want to change my delivery or removal date for the roll off dumpster?

How far in advance should I place my order?

We require 36 hours advance notice for roll off dumpster deliveries and 48 hours advance notice for commercial dumpster deliveries. Next day services may be available for an additional fee. If you require next day service please contact our customer service department at 800-877-4285

Can you guarantee exactly what time the dumpster will arrive on the delivery date?

We cannot guarantee the dumpster be delivered at any specific time on the delivery date. If you require the dumpster first thing in the morning it is recommended that you schedule your delivery for the previous day.

What is the difference between a roll off dumpster and a commercial dumpster?

The primary difference between the two types of dumpsters are their size and their function. Roll off dumpsters are larger and generally hold anywhere between 10 cubic yards and 40 cubic yards of waste. They are generally used for temporary needs such as a home remodel project, garage clean out and construction related projects such as building and demolition of roads, homes and office spaces. Roll offs get their name because they “roll off” the back of a truck when delivered to customers. Roll off dumpsters have a one time cost associated with them due to their temporary nature.

Commercial dumpsters on the other hand are smaller, ranging from a 2 cubic yard to an 8 cubic yard dumpster. They are the dumpsters that you would typically see behind a restaurant, gas station, apartment complex, business complex or other businesses that need permanent scheduled services. Such services are almost always scheduled anywhere from once every other week to seven days per week. Commercial dumpsters can be used to dispose of regular waste (MSW), recyclables and organic wastes which include green (yard) waste and food waste. Commercial dumpsters have a monthly cost associated with them due to the permanent ongoing nature of their service.
